OPI Bring on the Bling

So this past weekend was my mommy's 50th birthday, and to celebrate, our family threw her a big party. Such an occasion requires serious glittah, plus gold was one of the theme colors for the party, so I went with OPI Bring on the Bling, from the Burlesque Collection.

Bring on the Bling is a ton of multi-colored, multi-shaped, and multi-sized glitter in a clear base. There's mostly   cool-toned gold glitter, but there is also blue, orange, fuchsia, green and silver in there too.

Bring on the Bling is awesomee. It's pretty much a gold version of Mad as a Hatter, so it's got bling, pops of color and general insanity. But one thing about Bring on the Bling that I really liked was the rather unique shade of gold that OPI chose as the main color. It's kind of pale and almost a little caramelly, and in the bottle, I was kind of scared of it. But on the nail, it's really quite pretty and flattering. So yeah, me gusta!
The formula for this polish was typical glitter bomb fare, in that it went on fairly smoothly and dried quickly. I used four coats of color for total coverage and two layers of topcoat for a really smooth finish. So yeah, it was kind of alot of work, but that didn't annoy me. What did annoy me was the terrible wear I got out of Bring on the Bling. Just two days in, and there are already chips galore. OPI glitters never wear well on me anyway, but it's still pisses me off when this happens. -___-

And that's all from me today!! Thanks for reading, and if you celebrate Memorial Day, I hope you're enjoying it! If not, then I wish you a great Monday all the same. n_n

Glitters usually wear REALLY well - as in, like iron. I think there's something about the formulation that prevents chipping - at least, on me anyway. Can't think why this would happen to you. And it's a shame, because the colour is unique and -dare I say it - fabulous.

Ahh I know right?!
Usually, they're impossible to chip but I don't know what it is about OPI gitters. They just chip right off for me.
Anyway, I'm glad you like it!
Thanks!
And I'm hoping that it won't be too too bad...although it probably will be. :(
This color looks gorgeous on you! I love it, but it wears like crap on me, too. :(

Thanks!
And really?! I'm not happy that it chips on you, but I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone and crazy. I wonder why it's like that.
I had terrrrible wear with OPI Simmer & Shimmer, not even a few hours after I did my nails they were chipping, glitter is so much work to apply, and then chips so easily!

Ahh another one steps forward.
And you know, there were also wear complaints about the Alice in Wonderland glitters too....hopefully, OPI pulls it together by the time they manufacture the Muppet Collection. Those look amazing, and I'd be pisssedd if they also wore like crap.
This is such a cool festive color and gold used to be my favorite color so I should try this sometime. I hope you had a great time at your mom's bday. That's so nice you threw her a big party, that's an important bday too. :) Thanks you for your comment letting me know about the fruit bars!

I appreciate it.

I'm glad you like it! If you decide to get it though, you should try soon...it was limited edition and after a while, those tend to be ridiculously hard and expensive to acquire.
And yep, everyone had a great time! I was convinced it would be a hot mess lmbo.
Thanks for stopping by!
I love this shade!! It's my 'party' polish :P It looks great on you too. I really need a macro lense, because I could NOT capture the multi-colored glitter that is in the polish - you, on the other hand, did a great job on the photos!! :D

Yayy!! It really is great for parties, people really liked it.
And I'm glad that you liked my pictures! I feel like I could do with a better camera and a dedicated macro lens myself though. ;)
so pretty that looks so good on you!
