Beauty Treats Jingle Bells

For today, I have another glittery confection. Glitter is like...pretzel M&Ms.  Both are super delicious, and you can never ever ever have too much. ^_^
This one is Beauty Treats Jingle Bells. I don't know much about the brand, but I think you can find it in some beauty supply stores and I've seen it sold in Mandee.

Jingle Bells is small silver and holographic glitter in a clear base.

I blurred it a little to show the bling. I wanted to make a video, but my camera kept on turning itself off, so I gave up.

Jingle Bells makes my heart so happy! It's really blingy and loud, and especially on a sunny day, it should be used with extreme caution. I can definitely see someone causing a traffic accident, blinding people, or accidentally walking off a cliff because of it. Can you imagine trying to explain that to the authorities though? Omg awkwardd.
Jingle Bells' formula was okay, except for that it was a bit thin. In the pictures, there are four coats, and while the coverage is thisclose to being full, I could have gone for another one. I can still kind of see my nail through what was there. Next time that I want to wear this, I'll probably layer it over a chrome polish, like China Glaze Millenium or a smooth silver holo, like China Glaze OMG. And the polish settles out really fast..I don't know if you can see it, but in the second picture, it's already settling. So frequent shaking is advisable in this case. On the upside though, it dried lightning quick and applied smoothly. Overall, I was well pleased, yea verily. ^_^

Now, I have a test to study for, so I'm gonna run along. Have an awesome night, guys!

Beauty Treats Galaxy

Ohh thank Jeebus for Friday. This weekend is going to be lots of work because I have a big test on Monday, but for now, I'm just preparing to luxuriate in the fact that I don't have to step into a lecture hall for two whole days. But before I do that, I thought I'd quickly post about Beauty Treats Galaxy, which is what I wore today.

Galaxy is pretty much a bunch of small, square silver glitter in a black base. The base was hard for me to pinpoint...I didn't want to call it a creme because it was a little too translucent for that, but it's not a real jelly either. I guess I'd call it a jreme.

Why yes...that is a bag fat chip on my middle finger. It's not the polish's fault though, I think. I know that nail has been peeling for a while, so that may be what it is, especially because my other nails are chip-less.

I've been looking for a perfect black polish with silver glitter for kind of a long time. I just want something that reminds me of the night sky in my mom's home village (it's so gorgeous).Do any of you have favorite black/silver glitters? I think Orly Goth is a popular one, but I haven't tried it. But I digress. While my desire has not been satiated yet, Galaxy comes pretty close. The base is a pure inky black, and the glitter sparkles proudly but subtly. Additionally, there is some depth to Galaxy, where you can see some of the glitter from previous layers. It's all very nice and pretty, but I don't think it's exactly exactly what I want. There's a little too much glitter.
But Galaxy applied nicely, was opaque in three coats, and dried really quickly. I think it cost me $2, so for the price, I'm happy with what I got.
Beauty Treats is kind of an obscure brand, so locating it could prove difficult. I know that I've seen it in Mandee and Fashion to Figure. Also, some BSS's and NSS's may carry it.

And completely unrelated to anything in this post, the re-released  Nars went on sale today. But that's not news. I just wanted to share this coupon code I found for free shipping on orders $25 and up. It's 25FREESHIP. I'm not sure when it expires, but it worked this morning, so it's at least working through today, so for people who wanted to grab some goodies, there you go! :D

And that's all I have for tonight, so I'm about to go luxuriate all over my bed. n_n
Have an awesome night!!
