Zoya Sarah

I had another weird craving for red polish, so I decided to try out Zoya Sarah, from the Flame Collection. I've been trying to wear this color for a while now, but it always bubbles up and then I get mad, remove it, and throw it into a corner of my bin. This time was no different, except for that I just gave up and accepted the bubbles. So sorry about those in advance. ^_^

Sarah is a ruby red base with flat, multi-sized bits of dark red and gold shimmer. The overall look is this multi-dimensional, sparkling metallic finish.

Sarah is a pretty girl! I was a little bit sad because it wasn't as sparkly as I'd hoped, but Sarah more than redeems itself in regular light. It has this incredible glow that comes out of nowhere and forces me to keep on looking at my hands. Also, in regular light, you can actually see the little pieces of sparkle better, so it looks crazy deep. My only complaint is that sometimes, it looks magenta, and I actually like Sarah's shade of red. I don't want it to look magenta. :(
Oh yeah, and I don't like the name! Firstly, because it doesn't even fit this color...the name Sarah means princess, which I definitely do not get out of this polish. And secondly, my track record with Sarahs has been less than stellar.  Some of them I hated, many got on my last nerve, and a few, I was indifferent to. But I've never liked any of them, so the name of this polish isn't very pleasant to me. (No offense to any Sarahs out there.)
In terms of application, Sarah is almost perfect. It was opaque in two ultra-smooth coats (a careful person might manage a single thick one) and dried quickly. I barely had to do any cleanup either, because it was so controllable. My only problem with Sarah is the bubbles. Every single time I've tried to wear it, even when I've gone basecoat-less, it has bubbled up on me. I think it just hates me, which is unfortunate but poetic, given my attitude about Sarahs.

But that's all I've got for now! Thanks for reading, and have an awesome day! ^_^

I love Sarah! The polish then, I'm undecided about the name.. ;) Too bad you experienced bubbling, it doesn't show on your pics though.. (maybe I need glasses? lol) It looks fantastic on your nails! <3

Yay, I'm glad you like it! Except for the name. -__-

And thanks for the compliment!! The finish covers them up a bit, but if you blow up the picture allll the way, you can see them.
In real life, they are more noticeable, although you won't see them if you're not looking for them. I think it just annoyed me knowing that they were there.
Hahaha. Sorry about the bubbles and your issues with Sarahs (don't know many personally so I can't comment). This color is really beautiful though, I love it!

Ahh thank you for the condolences. And yep, Sarah's a pretty one! I know you've had your issues with reds, but you should get it when you get the chance...I really think it'd look fabulous on you. ^_^
It might be my eyes, but I'm having trouble seeing any bubbles. :)

Ahaha, it's not your eyes! They just don't show up in the pictures well, since the finish obscures them a bit and I don't have like...ultra-mega macro.
But trust me...the little monsters are there. D<
Your pics do nothing to slim down my Zoya wishlist. Love this! I can't wait to get this.

LOL, I partially apologize for that, but really, it's all Zoya's fault. If only they didn't make such nice things. ^_~

And I hope you can get your hands on it soon!
I love the color and the metallic-y finish! Red looks really good on you.

I'm glad you like it!
And are you talking about Ruby Jewels? Ahh I have that one too, lmao!
I got Lisa, the lighter red in the same collection. I bought it because of the name, my first niece is named Lisa. lol I'm surprised that it bubbles on you, because so many polishes bubble on me, it's one of the reasons I prefer glitters and shimmers, because they do obscure the bubbles. I'm afraid of cremes! lol Anyway, Zoya is one of the brands that doesn't bubble on me and I am so relieved because they make so many nice colors that I want. I might even buy a Zoya creme next time I put in an order. lol

Ahh I love the name Lisa. I would have bought that one, but I liked Sarah's color better.
My best friend in high school was named Lisa...she went crazy after freshman year, so we couldn't be friends anymore, but while it lasted, it was great.

And I'm glad that the Zoyas love you! When you get a chance, you should definitely grab some cremes...they make beautiful ones. n_n
