Barielle Falling Star

For today, I have Barielle Falling Star from the All Lacquered Up Collection.

Falling Star is a saturated deep periwinkle creme base, filled with small copper hex glitter.

Sunlight, no flash.

Natural light, no flash.

Sunlight, no flash.

Falling Star is pretty and I was happy to see that it didn't look like toad skin at all. Barielle chose a rich, flattering and eye-catching shade of blue, and the copper glitter creates some beautiful contrast against it. I also like the amount and size of the glitter, because it allows the glitter to be a noticeable accent without being garish or looking like a craft project.

Formula-wise, Falling Star was not as bad as Sweet Addiction, but it was still uncomfortably thick and gluey. I used two coats for opacity, and was relieved to find that with topcoat, it dried pretty smoothly, but I'm still gonna drop some thinner in it.

Yeah, it is!
I think that's part of why it's such a popular color; like you're used to blue and gold and blue and silver, but blue and copper is something fresh and unexpected. ^_^

This color reminds me a lot of something like Steph from Imperfectly Painted suggested for a polish contest (I can't remember the brand now). This is so pretty! Different. Gorgeous!

Oh yeah, it was Rescue Beauty Lounge's contest.
I know that a blue and copper idea was selected for voting and ultimately was chosen for production, so I'm personally looking forward to seeing that. Hopefully, it's not too similar to Falling Star...that would be a disappointment.
But anyway, I'm glad that you like this one!

Yeahh I felt the same way at first.
Because like...in most swatches, the copper really comes out, but in person, it's not that prominent.
But I guess it kind of grows on you.
