Cult Nails My Kind of Cool Aid

For today, I have my other Cult Nails polish, My Kind of Cool Aid.

My Kind of Cool Aid is a greyish lavender creme with a subtle silver shimmer.

Sunlight, no flash.

Natural light, no flash.

My Kind of Cool Aid is a nice color. I like Living Water much better, but this isn't bad. The base color is fairly complex, and will take on a more lavender, grey, or blue cast depending on the lighting, although I found that it pulled more grey on me overall. My favorite part of it would probably have the be the really subtle shimmer that runs through it...it's so pretty and is what sets My Kind of Cool Aid apart from the many similar colors that were released this past Fall and Winter. I love how it looks when it catches the light...like really finely crushed glass. However, it's a minor detail, and I don't get to see it nearly enough to make me really love this shade. So my recommendation would be to only get this one if you really like this type of color. If not, then feel free to skip it.
Although I'm not so crazy about the color, My Kind of Cool Aid had a fantastic formula. It was opaque in two super smooth coats, leveled itself really nicely, and dried fairly quick. I was kind of surprised too, because it's a lighter color and I feel like they generally don't apply very well, but My Kind of Cool Aid was perfect.

And that's all I've got for today!! Thanks for reading, and have a great day! ^_^

I'm glad you like it!
And I must admit, I do like it with my skin. :D
The more I see this color, the more I want it. I need to make an order when my no buy thing ends.

It looks great on you. :)

I can't wait to see pictures when you get it...I bet it'll look really good on you.
It's such a complimentary color.
I like the addition of the subtle shimmer.

I think this is one of those shades that works well with both pale and dark skin, and it's unusual enough to provoke interested comments. I like it with your nail shape, it looks classy.

Does Cool Aid/Kool Aid really look like that? Don't think we have it in the UK :P

Yep, that's my favorite part too!
And thanks! I think it would also look really great on round and almond shaped nails.

Lmfao, noo, it doesn't look like kool-aid at all!! The name is something that I don't get about this color....I guess it is similar to unmixed grape kool-aid, but if you make the drink right, it should have a bright and saturated color.
Doesn't look a thing like this.
Maybe the cool aid is a reference to like...how that one cult drank kool-aid together and it killed most of them.
This color is really pretty, but I was hoping it was going to pull a little more lilac/lavender. I'm excited to see what Maria comes up with next...Living Water is on my wish list!

Ahh me too, on both counts.
I was creeping around her blog, and she had these pictures of this nude color that looked nice. I probably won't get it because I generally don't do nudes, but it was pretty and looked great on her.
i hope Living Water agrees with you if you pick it up!
Aw thanks!! Except for that I'm 99.9% sure that Maria wouldn't want my crusty pictures to represent her colors, LOL.
She would probably want some of the stuff that Varnish Vixen does. Now those are promo picture worthy.
