Revlon Mistletoe (Part 2)

Hi guys! A while ago, I wore Revlon Mistletoe from their new holiday collection and hated it. It was gross and ugly and I just did not like it at all. I couldn't return it because I lost the receipt, (-____-) so I just added some thinner to it and gave it another go. Here's how it went:

Sunlight, no flash.

Ottlite, no flash.

Sunlight, no flash.

Ottlite, no flash.

Sunlight, no flash.

I didn't have the textural issues again, so it turned out much better. Besides adding the thinner, I made sure to wait like five minutes between coats this time, and I guess both of those helped out. But I still don't like Mistletoe...it still looks a bit on the flat side to me, and the color is a so muddled and uninspiring. But I've learned my lesson...no more impulse buys and no more losing receipts. x_x

But that's all from me today.
Thanks for reading, and have an awesome Saturday!!

Ugh I hate when that happens. Maybe you could use it for frankening? Or a swap?

Girl, me too. x_x
I'll probably swap it. I'm sure there are people who would love to have it and every polish deserves a good home.
Except for Sinful Colors All About You. That one is too ooglay.
I love this polish, too bad for the formula! Thanks for sharing!

I'm glad that you like it!
Part of why polish is so fun is because everyone has such different tastes. ^_^
I think it has a nice shimmer to it.

lol, I'll tell it that you said so.
Oh man, I've been looking all over for this. Are you putting this in your blog sale?

Yep. I'm planning on doing a major cleanout, so hopefully the blog sale page will be updated by Saturday.
Uninspired color? For me grays are one of the most beautiful and this one is a pure stunner, maybe you can add some glitters (a little bigger hexagonal on your tips and maybe that will help)

Normally, I go crazy for gray polish, but this one is just not interesting to me. I was thinking of adding glitter, but I'm kind of over trying to force polishes to work for me. It's just too much work.
I'm just gonna send this one to a loving home.
No more impulse buys? Is such a thing possible? Good luck to you, since I don't think I could do it. :)

You know, I was saying the same thing at first, but it's actually deceptively easy not to impulse buy. You just have to stay away from trigger places and think critically about the polish. I actually find it easier to talk myself out of a purchase now than to rationalize a polish that I know I don't need.
I'm defintiely looking forward to spending way less on polish this year LOL.
We must have totally different skin tones / tastes in polishes, because I love this AND Sinful Colors All About You, it's my favorite gold EVAR.

And now I want to layer them. Except it's spring and I'm not in the mood for dark colors on my nails lately.

That's entirely possible and is what's so wonderful about nail polish and beauty stuff in general.
The same color will look hideous on one person and fabulous on another.

Bless you for giving those two a loving home LOL.
