Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

Hi guys!! Long time, no see right? School has been kicking the living shit out of me, but thank goodness break is around the corner and then the semester is almost over. Anyway, for today, I have Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia. Yess, I know that everyone has seen it already, but I only just got around to wearing it, so yeah.

Facets of Fuchsia is fuchsia large and small hex glitter, suspended in a black jelly base.

Sunlight, no flash.

Facets of Fuchsia is nice! It's simple but looks pretty and the colors work well together. However, it's definitely not as eye-catching as it ought  to be. With it being a dupe for DL's Bad Romance, I immediately started mentally comparing it to my other DL glitters and they are way sparklier. Maybe Revlon used a lower quality glitter or maybe Bad Romance is just not as sparkly as its brethren (in which case, I'm glad I held out on it), but either way, I'm a bit disappointed in that aspect of the polish. But  besides that, I liked it. And I love that it saved me some good money.
Facets of Fuchsia had a good formula. It went on smoothly, the glitter wasn't problematic to apply or spread evenly, and it dried pretty quickly. However, it did need extra topcoat...I only used one because I was running short on time, but it really could have done with two or three. I also did some layering over this, so stay tuned for that!
*Spoiler alert: It didn't turn out awesome.*

And with that, I am all done for today! Thanks for reading (and for sticking with me even though I've been the worst blogger in life lately) and have an awesome weekend!!

Yes...money-saving lemming killers are the best. :D
Maybe I'm just crazy, but in sunlight, this one just did not impress me.
Every DL glitter I own (and granted, it's only been a few) has knocked my socks off in sunlight. Just flashing and blinging all over the place. I wore Ruby Red Slippers to Universal Studio actually, and one of the ride operators actually stopped what she was doing to come look at my nails. That's serious bling power, man.
But not this one...it just kid of sits there. :(
I've seen this one couple times before but it still makes me weak :)

LOL I love when that happens! That's how you know that it's gewd. ^_^
This one is sooo pretty on you! And I totally understand what you're saying about school - I'm getting my butt kicked so bad this semester. Unrelated question - do you clean up around your cuticles with acetone and a brush or are your hands just really super steady? Thanks!

Aw thanks!
And I'm sorry about your butt...I can sympathize though. School has made me its bitch this semester.

And I clean up my cuticle with cotton wrapped around an orangewood stick. I used to use a brush, but because I generally have quite a bit of polish in my cuticles, the orangewood stick just seems to pick up more color better. It can get messy, with tufts of cotton everywhere, but oh well LOL.
Aaah okay! The gap between the cuticles and polish is perfect every time, so that's why I wondered. :)
Lol well thank ya!
But no, I could never paint that neatly in a million years.
I haven't worn my bottle of this yet, so you're ahead of me. I really need to do a comp with Bad Romance, but since BR is not my favorite DL I've been dragging my feet.

lol, that makes me feel a little bit better. The way I hunted it down, I was so ashamed to have it still be sitting there unused months later.
And why don't you like Bad Romance?
