Color Club (who makes Revvvolution, the color that I said this one was a copy of) is big 3 free as well, and is only $2 or $3. Diamond cosmetics is $2 or $3, and B3F.
China Glaze is another excellent company that is Big 3 Free, and you can buy their colors for $3 or so dollars. LA Colors is B3F, their polish is $1.
L.A. Girl is $2 - $3, and they are B3F.
Milani is $3 - $5 and they are B3F.
Misa is $2 - $3 and B3F.
Sally Hansen is B3F and depending on the line, are under $5.
FingerPaints is $3 -$5 and B3F.
Nina Ultra Pro is $2 - $4 and B3F.

The bottom line for me is that all of those companies offer B3F formulas and a quality product, just like Prevail.
But unlike Prevail, they usually come out with fresh colors and are priced more reasonably.
Like I said, if the color was something I'd never seen before, I wouldn't complain about the cost. But it's not...you can get the same thing (B3F formula and all) for far cheaper.
No need to choose. ^_^The Phalanges Friendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05876817563424417251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3150183655384882623.post-59405033977457858602010-12-08T15:27:53.881-05:002010-12-08T15:27:53.881-05:00The higher cost probably has something to do with ...The higher cost probably has something to do with the list of things NOT contained in this product. If you look closely at the bottle it says that this is a DBP, toluene, and formaldehyde free polish. Most companies include these items in their polishes becuase they're cheaper. They also happen to be three of the most toxic ingredients in those polishes. Leaving them out probably contributes to boosting the price a bit, but its also better on your health in the long run. So, I guess you'd have to weigh in on what's more important . . . saving a couple bucks, or putting fewer toxic chemicals in and on your body.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3150183655384882623.post-66111873933812953452010-09-03T18:42:20.855-04:002010-09-03T18:42:20.855-04:00Good post and great insights. And Duane Reade does sell Color Club polish, so I suppose there is a relationship there.
Thanks for the alternative explanation! ^_^The Phalanges Friendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05876817563424417251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3150183655384882623.post-79373271809962082982010-09-03T16:07:52.877-04:002010-09-03T16:07:52.877-04:00Could be Prevail isn't stealing but just havin...Could be Prevail isn't stealing but just having their stuff bottle by the same company that does Color Club and Studio M, though marking it up twice as much is a bit ballsy, I agree.KarenDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05022790587742613590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3150183655384882623.post-45677913543710275932010-09-03T14:17:50.045-04:002010-09-03T14:17:50.045-04:00Aw man! That's sad.
I think they only are in New York, and maybe New Jersey though, so alot of people (including me, as of last Sunday) don't have access to one.
But if you're in the area, you should go! They have a nice selection of nail polish. The Phalanges Friendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05876817563424417251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3150183655384882623.post-30245463246549339412010-09-03T10:25:00.706-04:002010-09-03T10:25:00.706-04:00Really pretty!!
